Eric J

Eric J Dubowsky also known as Eric J, is a musician, songwriter and record producer. He got his start at Greene St. Studios in New York City, the legendary home of early hip-hop artists Run-DMC, and Public Enemy. It was here Eric assisted engineer/producer Rod Hui. That led to a job working with Arif Mardin in 1998. Eric has worked with artists such as Weezer, Freeform Five, Carolina Liar, Street Drum Corps, The Academy Is..., Yuka Honda, Steriogram, Joss Stone, Luscious Jackson, Art vs. Science, Faker, Bluejuice, Ben Gillies, Markus Fagervall,[1][2] and actress Emmy Rossum. He was lead singer of NYC band Essex, which he formed with Jeff Buckley drummer, Matt Johnson.

He sings and plays guitar and keyboards in The Relationship[3] and produced and recorded their debut album.

Eric worked as an engineer for the Los Angeles-based rock band Weezer on The Red Album produced by Rick Rubin and most recently on the 'Christmas With Weezer EP'. Eric also served as a producer/engineer/mixer for the Chicago-based rock band Ultra Sonic Edukators along with Weezer guitarist Brian Bell.

He composed the theme song to VH-1's Metal Mania and the theme for World Extreme Cagefighting on Versus (TV channel)Versus.
